Canadaâs Route 16, which connects Prince George with Prince Rupert and runs for 450 miles through the province of British Columbia, has been given the nickname of the Highway of Tears. Along this east to west road, it is estimated that as many as forty First Nations women and girls have been murdered or disappeared.
